The Mongol Zoominar (Fall 2020)
Manuscript Studies and the Mongol Empire: A “Round Table”
Friday, September 11th 14:30 Israel time
The Mongol Zoominar is a new forum created to bring together scholars from around the world who are interested in the Mongol Empire in an informal, informative, and friendly setting. We discuss work-inprogress, topics of common interest, and new directions in the field. Hosted and supported by the Louis Frieberg Center for East Asia Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the zoominar meets on zoom once a month, on Fridays.
Following our successful launch in the Spring (2020), we plan to resume our meetings this Fall (2020). Our next meeting will take place on Friday, September 11th (14:30 Israel time). This meeting will be dedicated to new directions in the study of manuscripts and their contribution to Mongol studies.
The presenters include: Stefan Kamola (Eastern Connecticut State University), Bruno de Nicola (Goldsmith), and Yusen Yu (Oxford).
The Zoominar welcomes new participants and presenters. If you would like to join this (and future meetings) and/or present a paper, please email ybrack@umich.edu. Your email should include a brief introduction and the reasons for your interest in joining.
