On May 21-23 the international conference New Approaches on the Il-Khans took place in Ulanbataar. This was the first conference in Mongolia that dealt exclusively with the Mongols in West Asia. Among the participants there was a significant presence of Israelis, all members or friends of the project, including Reuven Amitai, Na'ama Arom, Michal Biran and Jonathan (Yoni) Brack.
